The Connect sent earlier this week stated that “Sanlam require full premiums unless a member has been medically declined or after three months on groups with no proof free limit as it is at this point that the accidental death benefit expires.”

Sanlam, however, offer members full cover in the first three months rather than cover in the event of an accident only. Furthermore, for schemes where there is no proof free limit, there is no cover until the member has provided full medical proof and it has been accepted by Sanlam.
