As we navigate through the Covid-19 pandemic, we hope that you and your family, as well as your businesses, are keeping safe and well. Please take note of the following in the relevant areas in relation to the impact of Covid-19.

Premiums

We understand that in these financially challenging times, premium obligations may not be met. Some of the options available to employers are:Reduce salaries but still pay the full risk premiums (full cover in most instances)Reduce salaries and proportionately reduced premiums and cover (reduced cover)Stop paying risk premiums for a temporary period if they have stopped paying salaries (no cover)We need to be notified in every event where an employer is implementing any of the abovementioned options to avoid any issues at claims.

Claims

Should a death claim arise that is a result of Covid-19 we ask that this be brought to our attention. It will in no way have any impact on the validity of the claim, it is simply for information / statistic gathering purposes.

Medicals

Requests for medicals are still being sent out when required. It must be noted that insurers may include additional questions surrounding Covid-19 on their questionnaires.Currently, there are no appointments being scheduled for Travelling Nurses. This will remain the case until we receive confirmation from the insurer that the nurses are fully operational again. Where required, a member may need to see their General Practitioner or Pathology Lab to complete their medicals. As always, please reach out to us with any queries you may have by simply replying to this TSA Connect or contacting your TSA Associate.
